Very fresh seafood for those who cook at "home" (we do). But the main reason to go is for the Cajun Shrimp. They steam them up for you and bag 'em to take home. They are fresh and delicious. Also a good way to know what is actually fresh at the local restaurants is to see what this place has on ice...

I visited Gulf Shores Seafood market today and have to say what a pleasure it was to do business with Gina! You don't find many places that still believe in true service and hospitality. Gina is the owner of Gulf Shores Seafood and treated us Dad's (on fathers day) to some complimentary Cajun Crab dip and threw in a shrimp de-veiner to go along with the excellent, fresh shrimp! They have a great selection of both seafood and meat, plus marinades and mixes for all your meals! Thanks Gina!! You will forever be "the place" for all our fresh seafood!

Gulf Shores Seafood served me the best seafood I've had in my life! During a recent visit to Gulf Shores, I enjoyed some of the freshest seafood at various local restaurants. But even though Gulf Shores Seafood is a "market" they will cook it for you on the spot! Gina treated us like family, and we had a picnic with Royal reds, cajun style jumbo shrimp, and fresh oysters with all the fixin's! If your a true seafood lover, you can't miss this one.

Stopped by to get some boiled crawfish. They were excellent, but what really made an impression on me was the smell. Rather, it was the lack of smell that I noticed. I am a local and have been in many of the area's seafood markets and have become accustomed to a seafood "smell" in those places. Gulf Shores Seafood Market did not have that smell. They had a lot of different seafood and Cajun dishes that are ready to reheat and their fresh fish looked awesome too. I have to pass 5 seafood markets to get here, but I think it is absolutely worth it.

Went to this seafood market and asked for fresh trigger. The employee was happy to bag a few pounds up for me. I have run into markets selling trigger fish when in reality it's file fish. I asked to confirm that this fish was gray trigger fish caught in the gulf and was repeatedly told yes. Upon inspection back at the condo of my fish I soon discovered I was lied to. Other markets I went to were honest and told me fresh gray trigger is a rarity. I will never give this seafood market another try. I'm amazed it has gotten 5 stars. It must not be because of honesty.

Great catch on the search for seafood! As the other reviewers mentioned, if you're looking to make a casual night of things, but want the best from the Gulf that day, this is your place. Staff was friendly and their filets of red snapper and yellowfin tuna on ice were gorgeous. That being said, we just went with their medium spice boil of large shrimp for two with sides of potatoes, corn, and sausage. A good way to finish a day at the beach and split a bottle of bubbly. Cheers!

We got shrimp, king crab legs, corn and potatoes, and sausage. Everything was delicious, seasoned perfectly, and super fresh. You can tell crab is fresh when it's easy to crack- our condo didn't have crackers for crab, and we were able to tear into everything easily without them, and the meat slid out without sticking or shredding. We're going to have to make this place a tradition.

Our family had a seafood boil for 30 people. The folks here were wonderful and extremely knowledgeable and friendly. We told the how many we had and they figured out how much food we'd need. They were spot on. They cooked everything for us and packed it for our 25 minute drive back to the beach house. It was still very hot! Everything was just delicious! Because of the amount of seafood we purchased, the corn, potatoes, and sausage were thrown in for free. Great place to go!

Best meal at best price during our whole week at Gulf Shores! We ordered 3 lbs of crab legs, 2 lbs of Cajun shrimp and a side of corn and potatoes...and we were happy, happy, happy!

The staff is very friendly and helpful. We came in near closing with six people, four of which were hungry kids. The portions are huge, it all tasted amazing and the prices were reasonable. It is take out, so you'll need to have someplace to eat it. Highly recommended.

The carry out crab legs meal was great! Wonderful service, great food and I'd guess out cost was 1/3 of what we'd pay in a restaurant. Great for us with two small kids! We could actually enjoy our meal while the kids played!

Great place for fresh seafood. I got the steamer pack special which was 1lb of large shrimp, two ears of corn, two pieces of sausage, and 6 red potatoes with Cajun seasonings boiled all for 16.99. It has been the most fresh and best shrimp on our vacation. Great little market and definitely friendly service. Will definitely come back before I leave for some fresh shrimps to take back and a tub of raw oysters. Great place, and it will not disappoint!

We ordered a low country boil for two and some crab legs. Tasty, great quality, and you can't beat the price.

We had the low country boil (shrimp, sausage, corn, and potatoes seasoned and boiled). It was perfect!! Ordered, took it back to our condo, and feasted!!!!! We also purchased the shrimp and crab Cajun dip. It was also yummy! Imitation crab but who cares right?!?! The place was clean and didn't smell fishy. The only reason I'm not giving five stars is the customer service. Of the three men I saw working, no one seemed all that excited to wait on me. They didn't make eye contact, smile, or show common politeness. They got the job done and was pretty quick about it, I just felt a little like they'd rather me not be there.

Excellent! Drove right by this place while looking for something for dinner saw it and turned around. Not knowing It was five minutes until closing they still cooked us whatever we wanted. The Low country boil Was wonderful as well as the crab and shrimp dip!

Carry out only was not ideal, but it works for them. The food was awesome. We had the Cajun Low Country Boil for two, for like $16. This quality and quantity can NOT be beat for the price. Great food!!

AWESOME FOOD!! We got the Low Counrty Boil and it was fabulous!! $15.99 for 1lb of large shrimp, 6 potatoes, 2 ears of FRESH corn and 2 sausage links. Brought it back to the condo and is by far the best meal we have eaten in Gulf Shores. The staff was super cool and we talked SEC football. Props to the young guy living in Alabama but is a Tennessee Vol fan!! Go Vols!!

Great, great seafood! I don't like to go anywhere else for my crawfish and it's almost impossible to find cobia anywhere else!!! I have one little beef with them lately. They used to sell cobia with no skin, at $12.99/lb I'm a little annoyed that they are leaving the skin on now. The last cut I got had about a pound of skin, yes we weighed it :P that's $13 more Than I would've paid and a whole pound of meat I was planning on feeding my family with that wasn't there. Not a huge deal, I'll just specify in the future that I would like the skin cut off. The people there are great, they offer great customer service and are very speedy. Like I said before, get the crawfish when they are in season!!!!!

One of the best things we did on our recent trip to Gulf Shores was the shrimp boil for 2. While staying in our RV at Gulf State Park, we were tired of dining out every night so I stopped in and picked up the shrimp boil which comes with a pound of fresh shrimp, corn and new potatoes. I chose the medium spice but wished I would have went full on Cajun. We added a pound of shrimp to the order and were surprised that we finished it all but were completely stuffed. Just sitting outside the RV as the sun was setting enjoying a simple meal was something I will definitely repeat when we come back to Gulf Shores.

WOW! This is out 2nd trip to Gulf Shores area this is the best food we have had yet. We bought 5lbs of Cajun Shrimp, and 3lbs of Mild Snow Crab. We feed 6 adults and 4 kids with this. Think we will do it again before we leave. Will try the gumbo this time. Must try this place.

Very fresh seafood and excellent service! If you are new to Gulf Shores (as we are) be sure and get the Royal Red shrimp, which is unique to this area and is sooooo good! We stopped by and purchased some raw Royal Red shrimp to take back to our condo for dinner. (Learn more about Royal red shirmp here: Ihttps://www.facebook.com/southeasternraptorcenter/posts/954103044627750:0) They offered to boil the shrimp for us, with the options of no seasoning, mild seasoning, and Cajun seasoning. Since we were getting the Royal Red shrimp, and they are so good in and of themselves, we opted for the mild seasoning. They were terrific. We also purchased their cocktail sauce, garlic butter and fresh horseradish sauce-all were very good.
